Description1 Photographic 8x10 negative : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Nitrate Film. A small funeral party stands inside Nishi Hongwanji L.A. Betsuin standing around a small coffin. Many large flower wreaths are lined up on either side of the coffin. At the bottom of the negative in Japanese it reads, “Funeral service of the late Yoko Tsujimura / Tanaka Photo Studio L.A. July 27 1937 at Nishi Hompa Hongwanji L.A. Betsuin.” One (1) glassine envelope that the negative was stored in reads, “No. JUL 27 1937 / Name Ishii [illegible].” Handwritten Japanese is written on the right side of the envelope. One receipt containing handwritten Japanese.
