Description3 Photographic 8x10 negatives : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Safety Film. One image of eight women surrounding an open casket covered in flowers. In the bottom left corner of the negative it reads, “Late Bartola E. Fontanilla / President of the Daughters of / the Philippines in America.” Image of a funeral party standing around a coffin covered in flowers outside of Japanese Undertaking Co. At the bottom of the negative is a caption which reads, “The Funeral of Late Bartola E. Fontanilla / Jan 23. 1937 / Los Angeles, Calif.” One image of three men, a woman and a young boy surrounding an open casket. In the bottom right corner of the negative it reads, “Bartola Estaista Fontanilla / Died Jan. 17, 1937 / Los Angeles, Calif.” Three (3) glassine envelopes that the negatives were stored in read, “JAN 22 1937 / Funeral.” One receipt which reads “R.E. Fontanilla / 820 W 30th St. / L.A. / Rt. 3984 / Late Bortola E. Fontanilla & family / Jan 23 - 1937.” One note that reads, “The Funeral / of / Late Bartola E Fontanilla / Jan. 23, 1937 / Los Angeles Calif.”
