Description1 Photographic 8x10 negative : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Safety Film. Funeral party surrounds a memorial photograph at Higashi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. At the bottom of the negative is a caption written in Japanese which reads, “Funeral service commemorating the 35th day of mourning for the late Tsume Muto and Yuki Goto / May 1st, 1937 at Los Angeles of Higashi Hongwanji Betsuin.” One (1) glassine envelope that the negative was stored in reads, “No. May 1 - 1937 / Name K. Muto.” One note in handwritten Japanese.
