Description1 Photographic 8x10 negative : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Safety Film. A small group stands around a coffin covered in flowers. A piece of paper that reads (in Japanese), “Southern California Yamanashi Overseas Association” hangs on a large flower wreath next to the coffin. At the bottom of the negative it reads (in Japanese), “The funeral of the late Komeiji Nanai / 1937 February 6th / At Los Angeles Japanese Funeral Home.” One receipt has handwritten Japanese on it that matches what is written on the negative. One small newspaper clipping providing details such as time and location of the funeral in Japanese.
