Description2 Photographic 8x10 negatives : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Safety Film. One image of a funeral party standing behind a casket covered by flowers and several large flower wreaths. One image of a funeral service inside the church, people sit in pews with the casket and flower wreaths on display at the front of the sanctuary. On the bottom of both negatives it reads (in Japanese), “The funeral of the late Hatsue Domoto / 1938 February 28th at Hollywood Presbyterian Church.” In the right bottom corner of both negatives it reads (in English), “Tanaka Studio / L.A.” Two glassine envelopes that the negatives were stored in read, “No. Feb 28 1938 / Name K. Domoto / Order 4726 Melrose Ave. / Remarks [illegible] / Reorder 12 8x10.” One piece of rectangular scrap paper with handwritten notes in Japanese. One small newspaper clipping of an obituary.
