Description4-page letter written on recto and verso by Tatsumi Iwate to his brother Mas Iwate in the Jerome concentration camp on March 31, 1943 from Camp Shelby, Mississippi. On top left corner in black ink and color pencil, Tatsumi draws the 3rd Army Insignia patch and Staff Sergeant Stripe patch on a uniform. He writes to Mas about the training schedule, film and cameras, Mary Nakahara and Lily Endo (Yuriko), about the 2,500 volunteers from Hawaiʻi who speak differently than mainland Japanese-Americans.
