Description6-page letter written on recto and verso to Mas Iwate from Tatsumi Iwate on April 18, 1943. On top center is the letterhead for Camp Shelby, Mississippi. Tatsumi writes about the arrival of recruits from the islands, that they came by the thousands, that he feels like a big brother to the new men, that he noticed the accents of the men from Hawaiʻi and that it sounds like English with Spanish, Portuguese, and German.
