Description1 Photographic 8x10 negative : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Nitrate Film. Image of a funeral party gathered around a casket outside of Evergreen Cemetery. Several large flower wreaths surround the casket. At the bottom of the negative in Japanese it reads, “Funeral of the late Arata Sakamoto / October 23rd 1937 taken at Evergreen Crematorium Los Angeles California.” One (1) glassine envelope that the negative was stored in reads, “Oct. 23 1937 / Name [illegible] M. K. Iseri.” On the right side of the envelope is handwritten Japanese kanji.
