Description1 Photographic 8x10 negative : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Safety Film. Image of a large wedding party surrounding a casket in front of Evergreen Crematorium in Los Angeles. Several large flower wreaths are lined up on either side of the casket. At the bottom of the negative in Japanese it reads, “Funeral of Hisako Ike / Tanaka Studio August 14th 1939 at Los Angeles Evergreen crematorium.” One (1) glassine envelope that the negative was stored in reads, “No. 8/14/39 / Name J. Ike by Mr. K. Suzuki. / Retouched 6 8x10 [illegible] B. I.” On the right side of the envelope in Japanese it reads, “Funeral of Hisako Ike.”
