Description1 page double-sided handwritten letter to George Fujii, in Fort Lincoln Internment Camp in Bismarck, North Dakota from his wife, Mary Misao Fujii in Seattle, Washington on March 10, 1942. Mary writes on paper with Eagle Rock Oyster Co. letterhead, that she has the mumps and completing the Eagle Rock tax returns among other subjects. An upside down difficult to read purple square stamp reads "DETENTION ALIEN, ENEMY MAIL, EXAMINED, BY ...., U.S.A. & N.S." is on upper right hand corner over handwritten date.
On verso, is a typed letter from George to Mary, dated March 16, 1942. George writes about receiving her letter from March 10, 1942 but unable to send a reply back because they can only send letters twice a week, his disappointment with Nish, an employee at Eagle Rock, their tax returns, registering with the Citizen's League, and being careful with money. On bottom left corner, a purple square stamp reads "DETENTION ALIEN, ENEMY MAIL, EXAMINED, BY ...., U.S.A. & N.S." is on upper right hand corner.
