Description1 paged typed letter to Mary Misao Fujii in Long Beach, Washington from George Fujii, in Fort Lincoln Internment Camp in Bismarck, North Dakota on April 6, 1942. George writes about her move to Long Beach with Richard, 'grand pa' and 'grand ma', how the evacuation will come sooner than they expect, mentions the need for typhoid and smallpox vaccinations, for Mary to send his Soroban, a Kodan-Zenshu (storybooks), and other books for him to read. On lower left-hand corner, a difficult to read purple square stamp reads "DETENTION ALIEN, ENEMY MAIL, EXAMINED, BY ...., U.S.A. & N.S." On bottom of page, he handwrote the following note: "Did you fix the insurance?"
