Description2 Photographic 8x10 negatives : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Safety Film. One image of a large gathering at Evergreen Cemetery. On the bottom left corner of the negative in English it reads, “The Burial Service of the Late Setsuko Tawa / At Evergreen Cemetery L.A. Mar. 14, 1935 / Tanaka Photo Studio L.A.” On the bottom right side of the negative in English it reads, “The funeral of the late Setsuko Tawa / at Los Angeles Evergreen Cemetery March 14th 1935.”
One image of a large funeral service inside Union Church decorated with several large flower bouquets. On the bottom left corner of the negative in English it is written, “The funeral service of the late Setsuko Tawa / at Japanese Union Church of L.A. Mar. 14. 1935.” On the bottom right corner of the negative the same caption is written in Japanese.
Two (2) glassine envelopes that the negatives were stored in. The first reads, “No. 35446 March 14 1935 /Name Tawa / Order 12.” The second reads, “No. 35445 March 14 1935 / Name Tawa / Order 12 8x10.” Two pieces of note paper containing the captions written on the negatives.
