Description1 wooden case for quill pen. 1 nib holder carved from wood and painted with a clear varnish finish. The holder is carved flat at the top to simulate a feather. At about midpoint of the holder it tapers to 1/4" in diameter further down it widens to 7/16" diameter and at the end it flares out to 5/8" in diameter. 2 1/4" from the bottom is the beginning of a 5 ring design of two different colors (3 dark colorings and 2 lighter colorings). At the top of the feather end the maker has written in ink: Manzanar 1-4-1945 S. Wakahiro (in 3 lines).
