Description5-page letter written on recto and verso from Tatsumi Iwate to Mas Iwate on April 8, 1943. Tatsumi writes that he thought it was an April Fool's joke that Mas's letter had been sent from Texas, that he is not in a good mood since Mas did not volunteer to be part of the 442nd Infantry, that he could have volunteered to take a direct part for the fight against Nazism and set an example, he does not believe Mas to be a coward, that he commends Mas's decision to work on a farm.
