Description(2) page typed letter to Tatsumi Iwate from Frank Nakatsuma on March 23, 1945, with envelope. Written on cream paper, parts of the letter have been cut out. Frank writes that he's sorry to hear that everything is not as cheerful as it's supposed to be, that he was wondering where Tatsumi was after they left Northern France as he couldn't see him, they are in Italy again in the same old drudgery routine, eating C rations with noodles and chicken, that he wishes he could see American girls who speak their lingo, that he owes Tatsumi $15 and intended to give it to him long ago, and is enclosing a photo othat the company has given him which he doesn't need and Tatsumi might want as a memory to hardship. Envelope from Sgt. Frank Nakatsuma to Sgt. Tatsumi Iwate at the Hammond General Hospital in Modesto, California. Postmarked April 2, 1945. On bottom left corner, black rectangular stamp reads, "PASSED BY / J / 37755 / ARMY EXAMINER," with a signature over it by Lt. Nagai.
