Description1 Photographic 8x10 negative : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Safety Film. One image Hidemaro Konoye sitting at a long table with a group of roughly 40 people surrounding him. On the bottom left side of the negative it reads , “Dinner in Honor of Viscount Hidemaro Konoye / of His Successful Appearance at the Hollywood Bowl. / Given by the Academy of Music.” On the bottom right side of the negative it reads, “The Women’s Athletic Club. / Los Angeles, Calif. September 15, 1937. Tanaka studio L.A.” One (1) glassine envelope that the negative was stored in reads, “No. SEP 15 1937 / Name S. Nishida.” On the right side of the photograph it reads “-24- @ 1.00.” One typed note that contains the same caption that is written on the negative itself.
