DescriptionAutobiographical essay written by Marie Matsune for Garrett Starmer's Senior Problems Class at the Tule Lake High School. Marie writes that her father came to America in 1906 and worked all along the west coast until he moved to Hawaii 1913 to work for the Sugar Cane Company. She mentions that he went back to Japan to marry her mother, and when he returned, he worked as a farmer until the family's incarceration.
