DescriptionBlack sumie ink painting of a black bird (raven? Crow?) in flight on cream colored matt paper. The bird has wings spread in flight and mouth open. The bird is positioned to the right side of the paper. The bird's head is profiled against a cream colored full (round) moon with gray halo around the moon. The moon is positioned toward the left side of the paper. There is a single Japanese character in black ink and a hanko stamp (Japanese character in a circle) in the LR corner. The hanko stamp is black ink but faded. One black dot above the Japanese character (it may be intentional or a drip of ink).
