Description(a) Vertical ink calligraphy of 2 large Japanese characters. Calligraphy is done in black sumi ink on light tan paper. Along left side is a column of smaller Japanese characters in black ink. Below the smaller Japanese characters in LL corner are 2 red square hanko stamps. In UR corner is a rectangular red hanko stamp. (b) On back of painting is an inscription "To Mr. Allen Eaton from T. Fukui Sept. 2, 1945." Below that are 2 Japanese characters and then translation "Fuku Jiu" and "Happiness Well and Prosperity."
