Dear Mollie, (flea skinny)
Received your letter in Colorado. You sent the letter to Santa Anita and it was forwarded to me in Colorado. You asked if life is slow around here, slow ain't the word, it doesn't even move.
I guess I don't have to tell you anything about the camp, because Sandie will do that, I'm sure.
It sure feels good to hear news from good ol Roosevelt Hi. Please write often. Did Mr. Ramsey retire? What happened to Miss Blade, did she go for a "Honeymoon"????? You mean you have a new Principal? Who is he. Mr. Blair was swell. Where did he go? Now you have to write me another letter to answer all these questions.
Well, school starts Monday. They have a crazy system, "no lie." Everything is on the one year basis. No A or B just one full year. If you're in the "A" they put you up, if you're in the "B" you stay in the same grade, so now I'm in the "B." Good nè?
Well I guess I better close now, so until I hear from you I remain -

Sincerely yout good friend
Violet (fatty)
