DescriptionOil painting on engraved decorative wooden plate by Henry Sugimoto. A man, woman, and young girl push a wheelbarrow full of coal. Wheelbarrow is painted blue and "WRA" is written on the side. The woman and girl stand on either side of the wheelbarrow, with the girl closest to the viewer and her back facing the viewer. Woman is wearing a turquoise scarf around her hair, mustard-colored sweater and white apron. The girl is wearing a collared red sweater and black sweater. The man wears a blue hat and holds both handles of the wheelbarrow, pushing forward. He is wearing a gingham blue long-sleeved shirt, mustard-colored pants and black boots. There are barracks in the background that are lightly painted. White sign on the left reads: Block 23. Engraved along the bottom: Rowher Camp. On verso, engraved in the center: "Our Winter" Rowher Camp | By Henry Sugimoto New York 1982. Painting is similar to Sugimoto's painting (92.97.90) and print (2015.2.77).
