Description7 Photographic 8x10 negatives : b&w ; Photographed on Agfa Safety Film. One image of a group of women sitting on a stage surrounded by flowers. Four images of women on stage with a mannequin in front of a large audience. One image of a large audience of women. Image of six girls in dresses on a stage in front of a large audience. At the bottom of every negative is a caption in Japanese which reads, “Commemorative photograph of the clothing exhibition of the Modern Sewing School 3 years since its founding / June 5th 1936.” Seven (7) glassine envelopes that the negatives were stored in. The first reads, “No. #1 JUN 5 - 1936 / Name Yoshizawa / Retouched 24.” The second reads, “No. 4 JUN 5 - 1936 / Name Yoshizawa / Remarks 1 / Order Finished 6 / Reorder 7/9/36 [illegible] Rep $5.00.” The third reads, “No. #5 JUN 5 - 1936 / Name Yoshizawa / Retouched 2.” The fourth, “No. #6 JUN 5 - 1936 / Name Yoshizawa.” The fifth reads, “No. #7 JUN 5 - 1936 / Name Yoshizawa.” The sixth reads, “No. #8 JUN 5 - 1936 / Name Yoshizawa / Remarks 2.” The seventh reads, “No. 9 JUN 5 - 1936 / Name Yoshizawa.” One piece of scrap paper with the caption on the negative handwritten on it.
