DescriptionUnstretched. Image of General Grant's Tomb and neighboring building from a walkway in New York. A grand, cement staircase (center lower) ascends into a line of fluffy, white trees, In the right background, the structure of Grant's tomb is characterized by pillars arranged in a circle, and arched, pointed roof on an elevated, marble platform. In closer range (left background), a large brown building with red trimming (possibly Columbia University or the Manhattan School of Music) is visible above the tree line. Clouds slant from the upper right corner into a light blue sky. The viewer is most likely standing in Riverside Park, a place frequented by Henry Sugimoto on his morning walks.
