In closer range (left background), a large brown building with red trimming (possibly Columbia University or the Manhattan School of Music) is visible above the tree line. Clouds slant from the upper right corner into a light blue sky. The viewer is most likely standing in Riverside Park, a place frequented by Henry Sugimoto on his morning walks.
