DescriptionFramed and glazed. Image of the USS Maine National Monument in New York. Characterized by a golden figure with a raised torch on a chariot with two horses, the Maine Monument sits atop a large cement platform at the intersection of the Park and a street. Figures dot around the statue, as well as a hot dog stand, potted trees, and several cars (bottom right). The image is light, detailed, and refreshing; there is harmony between the figures, manmade objects, and nature.
