"You're On My Mind"
Dear Molly,
It certainly was a pleasant surprise to hear from you! Thank you very much for your very sweet letter, it was fun reading it! Anything new or exciting your way? It's boring out here!
Yesterday, Sandie, Kumiko, my sister and I were jumping over a stream, and as a result, I sprained my ankle! It's really painful! Isn't "orful" tho'? Gee, I haven't received my annually-----still anxiously waiting for it!
Believe it or not I'm knitting! Isn't it amazing! Now, I have something to do for a whole year! When and if I get through, I'll let you know né? (?) On July 3rd and July 4th, we're having a carnival here called "Anita Funita"! On 4th of July, I hear we're getting chicken! I hope so! Once we had chicken stew, minus the chicken!
When you get Kenny to bring you hear here, bring Joyce W. and Doris with you okay? Don't forget to let me know at leas 10 days before hand----gotta send you a permit!
Say, what are your plans for this summer? I certainly envy you! Hope you have a very nice summer vacation! Out here, our future doesn't look very bright!
You ought to hear the rumors about different ghots ghosts' out here! In a barrack in the Boyle Height section, three there seems to be a ghost! IT seems silly to me, but three families have moved out from that certain barrack!
Thursday, we had our graduation at the grandstand gee, I wonder how Roosevelt's graduation was! It's really sad out here! Molly, Violet is here, and she says quote: "Tell Molly to come, come, come, come, and come. Tell her to come!" Don't forget to bring Joyce with you 'cause I wouldn't want her to go through the trouble on riding a strut car · !
Golly, I'd better be closing now. Please send my regards to your mother and Doris né? Well Molly, I sincerely hope you have a very very nice summer vacation. Bye now.
Love,
June
P.S. Please forgive this awful mess né?
P.P.S. Next time I'll write a long long letter okay?
Be good pal!
J.Y.
