Dearest Molly,
Howdy pal! How be ya? All's well in your direction, I hope! I won't scold 'ye for not writin' for I'm in the same boat you are! (Oh yeah!?)
How's the neighborhood? Lonely without the Nishioka's, Izumo's, etc? Golly, but I "shore" did want them to come here & join us here for I'm so "homesick for them & of course you & the rest of the "kids". It's very hot in Parker Dam (as I heard from other sources) so I'm happy that I'm not there. To think that I would have gone there also if we stayed until the last minute like the others did. It's really swell here, no wind or sand storms for some time! (But you can't tell about this place, uh, uhn!)
School is supposed to start this coming fall for we-uns here, Oh, I'm so "glad"! This lookin' is getting' very monotonous no lie! How be school for 'ye, eh? Okay I hope!
So, you went to your first formal dance, eh? I bet you had a swell time! I "shore" would have liked to have seen you in your gown! "Baby", all the glamour, right? Oh & thanks awfully for the beautifully pressed petal from your corsage. Uhm-I bet it was beautiful 3 wks ago! Boy, how you rate! Corsage, gown, & besides taking place at U.C.L.A. How you do it, eh? Come, come, don't blush now! After all!!-I must take corresponding lessons from you no lie! I'd keep (treasure) the petal in something as a memory of you. In my hope chest? Perfect!
How's track meet results with "Educator's Campus"? (Roosevelt, of course!) Here's hoping we place high in the finals, no lie! Tell me the results huhn?
How be the malt shop eh? Improving or--! Boy, I "shore" can go for some malts right now for it's "shore" us hot right here ye gads!
For my side of the news, there isn't much to report. No! The same old grind every day! I used to take crocheting lessons but quit goin' for them. Why? Well-other important things to do. (Oh yeah!??)
Do you correspond with Sadae or Mary? If you do with Mary, give her my best regards through your letter okay?
Well, since I've run out of fuel (news,) I'll be closing with my sincerest regards to you & the rest of the Wilson household, I am,
Lovingly yours,
Chiye

P.S. Molly, do you have the negative of the two pictures? If so will you develop them & send us the pictures? (My sister's doing.) How much did they charge you? Tell me in your next letter so that I can enclose the amount in my next letter.
