DescriptionWatercolor on paper. Paper has rough cut edges. Horizontal watercolor on paper. Painting is in center of paper and almost a line drawing. The large tree in shades of dark brown leans to the left with branches forming an umbrella over the trunk. Leaves in green, gray, and dark red-brown are clustered at the ends of branches. A guard tower in yellow and brown is alone in the background. Pale purple mountains and pale olive green trees and landscape at base of mountains. The painting is signed and dated in pencil in BR of painting "Henry Fukuhara 10-5-42". A man in a blue hat and red pants is seated below the tree reading a paper.
