DescriptionWatercolor on paper. Paper has rough cut edges. Horizontal watercolor on paper. In foreground are large brown trees with no branches or leaves. Only 1 center tree has branches (no leaves). Trees cast a shadow on the tan and golden ground. A few tall weeds (?) are in the foreground also casting shadows. In far distance is a line of shrubs and trees (some bare, some with brown foliage) and purple, gray and brown mountains. More than half of the painting is sky in pale shades of blue, green, peach and pink. In lower right corner is a brown box with "HENRY FUKU HARA" written in 3 lines like a hanko stamp. Below the box is written in brown ink "Manzanar 43". In lower left corner is written in pencil "1-12-43".
