There is no envelope or statement of Tomoko's location but the letter was most likely from her time at the Santa Anita Assembly Center. Tomoko and her family were transferred to Heart Mountain from Santa Anita.

June 10, 1942

Dear Molly,
Thank you very much for your note. I am all right now, but so far, I've been ill for four days here. It's from the food, but the food is getting better.
Don't work too hard to end the semester! I really feel like a dope for not going to school. I miss it, believe it or not.
Glad to hear "Cotton Day" was a success.
Sa-yo-nara is written. Don't forget it, now. Please write again.
