There is a figure on the beach in a white shirt and blue bottoms. They are holding a bucket and fishing gear, walking towards the stairs. In the foreground, there are five boats on the beach, next to the ocean. In the background, there is a green hillside and rock formations to the right. There are homes nestled in the hillside. Painting is housed in linen liner and brown and green wooden frame. Signed in the bottom left corner: H. Sugimoto. Painting is On verso, there are two labels attached. Label attached to top right corner of frame: Fishing Village. Also, written on canvas on left side: House Near the Ocean.
