DescriptionColor home movie footage of Terminal Island and fishing expeditions, filmed by Ben Fukuzaki circa 1939 to 1949. The footage includes fishing expeditions on the Nancy Rose, mostly all during the daytime with several shots interspersed of the sunset. There is extensive documentation of the process and the reel is great material overall for anyone looking to create a piece about commercial fishing – many different angles and shot sizes, all are generally well exposed and shot in sequence. There is also a lot of footage of the harbor, family members waiting or greeting departure on the docks.
