DescriptionIrregular shaped flat suzuri (inkstone) with oval shape carved out of the center. The stone plaque is slightly pointed at the top edge with a slope on the top left corner. The carved oval is approx. 4 x 4 ¾“ and smooth. There are 2 columns of Japanese characters carved along the left side and Japanese characters along the bottom edge. The front of the stone is dark charcoal gray the backside is tan and gray in uneven layers.
