DescriptionHorizontal wooden barracks nameplate sign with the name "T. KOSEKI" carved in relief with a border. The name and an underline shape are in the left half of the plaque; a large round knot hole (2 3/4" diameter) takes up most of the right side of the plaque. The knot hole is plugged with a slice of wood. To the right of the knot are two small lines of Japanese characters carved in but with scratches on the surface. Two mounting holes in the upper left and right corners. A pencil message is on the back upper right corner, “Santa Anita Reception Center July 18, 1942.” Likely made for Francis T. Koseki of Rohwer or Ted T. Koseki of Amache.
