Description1 telegram to Tozo Abe at 5401 Fall Ave Apt 1-C, Richmond, California from Akira Mizuno to see Abe before he makes arrangements with people at Crystal City detention center. 2-page letter written to Mr. Kato on June 4, 1947 on localities where Tozo Abe, the adjutant for the Salvation Army, hoped to locate a place for Chuhei Kato and his family, he was able to find Akira Mizuno, a foreman with a 4,000 acre potato farm 16 miles from Stockton, he mentions that Mexicans and Japanese work for Mizuno, the owner of the farm thought it was nice to have the Kato family go and work for the ranch and stay as long as they can, Mizuno would like for Mrs. Kato to do the cooking for the laborers and if they do not accept then there is no opportunity for the family to relocate to the farm, the wages are poor, and that there are conveniently located schools.
