DescriptionColor home movie footage spliced together on the Hawaiian islands of Maui and Oʻahu. Footage filmed by Reverend Nanshin Okamoto in Hawaii circa 1950 to 1960. Footage shows landscapes of Maui and Oʻahu, family gatherings, family picnics, scenes at the airport, baseball, and various Okinawan gatherings depicting Ryūkyū buyō (traditional Okinawan dance) and music. Footage is about 27 minutes, 26 seconds.
