DescriptionGreen photo album containing several black and white photographs of Henry Sugimoto and his family in California, Arkansas and New York. Album has tape along the spine of the front cover and back cover is detached from the main album A majority of the photographs are black and white (with the exception of one) and span a wide time frame - from ca. 1930s to the early 1950s. Nearly every page, recto and verso, is covered in photographs. Pre-war photographs include Henry's graduation photograph from the California School of Arts and Crafts, Susie (nee Tagawa) prior to marrying Henry, Susie's parents and Kings Laundry in Hanford, California. There are several photographs from concentration camps in Arkansas. One of the camp photographs is loose - 8 1/2" x 10" black and white large group photo outside, near barracks. Many appear to be from Denson with images of the Sugimoto family in front of their barracks and group shots of various organizations. There are also many photographs from New York, including Madeleine at school and with her friends, from the Sugimoto's apartment, Susie pregnant with Phillip and Phillip as a baby and toddler. There are a few pages of photographs of the Sugimoto family at Yosemite.
