Koh writes to his son that the War Department has opened coastal states starting on January 2, 1945, that his efforts were successful, asks Taro for a favor to send the documents enclosed with the letter to Dr. Scott, Dr. Schram and Monsignor Keely for letters of recommendation to prove Koh's good character and loyalty to be used in changing his status, asks Kotaro to collect documents and letters from W.R.A. officials to send alongside the letters of recommendation.
