DescriptionUnstretched. Image of the South Park skyline from the South pond in Central Park, Manhattan, NY. The upper right corner of image is a vivid sky in pink and orange, mixed with darker pink and white (clouds) blended near the borders. The skyline includes various buildings of different sizes, detailed with rows of windows, including the Essex House (indicated by the sign at the top of painting). A row of trees (light green) separates the image into the bottom half, depicting a close view of the South pond: a walkway, lamp post, and small figures on benches. The statue of a man riding a horse [Simon Boliver] is at the center of the image.
