DescriptionWatercolor painting of mountain side with large stones at its base. Painted in shades of gray, peach, green, yellow, and black. The background is cream colored. Back of scroll is manila color. The painting is centered on the scroll. Faint hills in background with tall leafy trees in the center and boldly outlined stones (about 6) at the base of the mountains. The stones are arranges diagonally. Below the stones is a tiny open boat with a figure seated inside with a small bundle. In the UR corner are 3 columns of Japanese writing. A vertical rectangular red hanko stamp is in the UR corner next to the far right column of Japanese writing. 2 square red hanko stamps are at the bottom of the far left column of Japanese writing. On lower left edge is a red diamond shaped hanko stamp near the painted stones.
