DescriptionHorizontal watercolor painting on off white paper. Painting depicts construction of barracks in a desolate setting. From left to right shows various stages of construction. On far left side is wooden frame, in center the siding and roof are finished, and at far right is completed structure except for windows and doors. Telephone pole/power lines are to the left. The beginnings of a guard tower is behind the barracks on the right. The ground is bare. Housing in shades of tan and brown. The foreground is light blue, tan and purple. The sky is pale blue and pale tan.
