In the foreground is a woman in brown dress with her head and shoulders covered in a blue scarf. 2 other small people as shadows walking towards barracks. Barracks are painted in blue-gray. To the right of center is an orange-brown chimney stack and a building with 4 small smoke stacks. The ground is in shades of brown and tan. The sky is full of dark navy and gray clouds suggesting a coming storm. A 1" edge around the painting is left unpainted. Signed and dated "Estelle Ishigo 11-43."
