DescriptionTwo (2) page handwritten letter with envelope. Letter signed J.U. Harada of Kapaa, Kauai and dated July 18, 1944. Blue ink on both sides of two pieces of white paper. Letter is written by Mrs. Yoshio (Irene) Harada upon her parole from Honouliuli prison camp, to her friend Kiyoshi Yamamoto, who remained interned in there. Harada was in Honouliuli during World War II because of her husband's supposed involvement in the "Niihau incident."
