DescriptionOne card with envelope from Mary Murakami to Mollie Wilson. The card is dated July 1, 1943 and is congratulating Mollie on graduation. The card was made by the Art Dept. Unit 1 at Poston and features a cartoon Japanese boy fishing with his toe in a pond with barracks behind him. There are two fish next to him. Some details have been hand colored.;

July 1, 1943
Dear Molly-
Sure was glad to hear from you-I didn't know you graduated, how come? Look who's talking-I graduated 2 days ago too. Gee, but everything turned out swell out here too. We were lucky enuf to get caps & gowns. The whole camp was invited to the first commandment exercise. All in all it was swell.
I sure want a picture of you. Send me at least a snap shot huh? I've got 2 racks of films & as soon as I have somebody to snap in off I may send you one.
I bet you graduated with hones hn. Let me know more about it. Sad use here we didn't
