Letterhead on top center reads, "UNITED STATES / DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR / WAR RELOCATION AUTHORITY," with New York city address stamped below it. Letter is dated January 11, 1946 and is addressed "Dear Friend: / You doubtless know that the War Relocation Authority is now bringing its activities to an end in accordance with plans announced a year ago. Nine relocation centers have already closed and the only one still open - Tule Lake - will also close on February 1, 1946." Signed by Robert Dolins, Relocations Supervisor.
