DescriptionOne letter addressed to Molly from Yuri and dated July 4, 1943.;July 5, 1943
Dear Molly:
Thanks for dropping me a line. It's sure been a long time since I last wrote. I've been going to school as usual.
Our school is not a real school so we don't have things like caps and gowns.
Right now I'm going to summer school to make up credits. If things turn out ok-I'm going to college this September. It'll be the happiest moment in my life. Then when I go to college-I can have things like a graduation-cap and gowns-prom-pictures.
Everyone is leaving camp to go out to search and go school. Once you go out-it's hard to get back in.
I don't intend to come back in so I haven't much to worrey about. I intend to go to Kansas City, Missouri.
There's a dance going on right in our mess-hall-man! is the music solid! I can't even write. My man event left so I haven't anyone to go out with. Wish he was here. Looks I'm never going to see him again unless he comes in for a visit. Oh well slip the whole subject.
I haven't much to say so I'll sign off before I bore you. Well-so long Keep well.

Sincerely,
Yuri Shimokochi
