DescriptionColor home movie footage, filmed by the Tanaka family in 1953. The first portion shows Japanese Boy Scout Troop 34 during the teardown of the 4th National Boy Scout Jamboree in Irvine, CA, before they head to Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. The second half is filmed at other locations across the broader Los Angeles area — including Forest Lawn, Bob’s Big Boy, and the Huntington Gardens — where Japanese Boy Scout Troops 34 and 41 went to sightsee. Social outings to a residence and swimming pool are also shown.
