DescriptionWatercolor on paper. Paper has rough cut edges. Horizontal watercolor on paper of interior of a dry goods store. There are long counters on 2 sides of painting. On the right are 2 customers and behind the counter are 2 salespeople. Boxes are stacked on shelves behind the counter and on the floor in the BL corner. There is a cash register on the counter and a flat box. On the left side of painting is another counter with 2 people standing at the end a 2 people leaning over the case. One image of a salesperson behind the counter. Papers/notices are on the wall behind the left side counter. In center of painting is an open door with faint image of barracks and power lines. Colors are shades of brown and tan. People are dressed in brighter colors - pink, green, rust, red, slate blue, tan. In BR corner is a rust brown box with "HENRY FUKU HARA" written in 3 lines like a hanko stamp. Below this box is written "MANZANAR '42."
