Description1 photographic print: b&w; 3-1/2x5" snapshot photo of a group of Japanese American women and men, standing and smiling, waiting to be transported to Santa Anita in April 1942. All the evacuees are well dressed, with coats and dresses and hats. Their smiling faces conceal their predicament of being sent to the Assembly Center for incarceration.
