Description2 medium size pieces of certificates in an Awards Certificate diploma binder presenting and awarding Don S. Okubo a Silver Star on July 17, 2001. The vinyl binder is green with an emblem of the United States Department of the Army on the cover. The two papers award Don Okubo by the United States president for the Silver Star for his gallantry in the Marshall Islands through prevailing Rear Admiral Hamada, of the Japanese Imperial Army, to surrender.
