DescriptionWood carved sculpture of a cat seated on a base. The cat has a long body; its head faces backward and its tail curves around under its rear leg. The ears, face and paws are carved in detail. The base is a free form, slightly oval shape. Part of the base is hollowed out in a hole 2 ½ “ deep x 1 ¼ “ wide. The surface of the dark wood is smooth; the base shows the grain of the wood. The piece is heavy.
